

Mr. DiLeo is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, formerly "The Association of Trial Lawyers of America," a member of and on the Board of Governors of The Louisiana Association for Justice, formerly "The Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association" and the Jefferson Bar Association.
Mr. DiLeo's area of legal concentration includes personal injury litigation. Since 1980, Mr. DiLeo has been litigating cases involving people wrongfully killed or injured in automobile accidents, as well as because of defective premises, defective products, and exposure to toxic substances. For over 30 years, he has been active in litigating cases against insurance companies and commercial vehicle operators, private vehicle operators, and drunk drivers, and seeking punitive damages and other penalties available under the law for bad faith insurance practices. In addition to his personal injury practice, Mr. DiLeo is actively involved in several class actions, statewide and nationwide.
In addition, Mr. DiLeo is on the Professionalism Committee and the Executive Committe of the A. P. Tureaud American Inn of Court. Mr. DiLeo is active in pro bono work as President of the St. Vincent De Paul Society Conference, St. Pius X Church, New Orleans, LA and has served as Vice President on the Board of Directors of the Ozanam Inn, charitable organizations.
Significant Distinctions: Mr. DiLeo maintains an "AV" rating from Lawyers.com, indicating that in a national peer reviewed rating of attorneys, he has the highest available rating for excellence in legal abilities and ethical standards. Mr. DiLeo, since his commencement in private practice, has been active in civic and professional affairs.
He has successfully obtained the reversal of cases involving novel personal injury issues before the Louisiana Supreme Court and has expanded the area of personal injury law in the State of Louisiana, particularly in the area of recoverable damages.
