Biography
Anthony J. Impastato practices in various areas of both trial and appellate levels, including industrial casualty, catastrophic injury, motor/commercial vehicle litigation, flood and homeowner’s insurance coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, maritime litigation, slip/trip and fall litigation, worker’s compensation and premises liability. Anthony has litigated and tried numerous cases since the date of his bar admission in various courts throughout Louisiana since he joined Frischhertz & Impastato in 2012 immediately after taking the bar exam. 2012’s Hurricane Isaac storm related claims, including a class action lawsuit against Stolthaven Chemical Company, springboarded Anthony’s legal career whereby he represented hundreds of residents from East Plaquemines Parish. Anthony’s first jury trial was a Hurricane Isaac homeowner’s insurance property damage dispute in federal court wherein the jury award included bad faith penalties and attorneys’ fees. Since then, Anthony has proceeded to successfully try various cases all over Louisiana, including an industrial casualty, amputated leg case wherein the jury awarded the Plaintiff over $37,000,000, which is rumored to be the highest jury verdict for a single-leg amputee in Louisiana history. Just two weeks after obtaining that $37 mm award, Anthony went to Shreveport, LA to successfully try a bench trial for a motor vehicle accident where the Judge awarded the Plaintiff $15,000.00, as requested by the Plaintiff, coining Anthony’s phrase – “No case too big, no case too small.”
Anthony prides himself on leaving no stone unturned to ensure that he obtains the best result for his clients, and he loves trying cases, as he feels that he can truly relate to the jury of his and his clients’ peers.
Anthony graduated from Loyola University College of Law in 2012. While at Loyola Law School, he served as Vice President of Loyola’s Trial Advocacy Program. Anthony was also a member of three (3) Trial Advocacy Teams, two of which were National Competition Teams, and received the honor of “Best Overall Advocate.” Prior to Law School, he received his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University, where he was a member of Acacia Fraternity.
Anthony is a member of the St. Thomas Moore Inn of Court, Louisiana Bar Association, Louisiana Trial Lawyer’s Association, Association of New Orleans Trial Lawyers, Louisiana Association for Justice, and the New Orleans Bar Association. In 2024, Anthony received recognition from the National Trial Lawyers TOP 100 in Civil Plaintiff litigation and also Top 10 Under 40 from the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys (NAOPIA).
