A motor vehicle accident recently led to at least two injuries in Louisiana. The personal injury accident occurred on a Thursday. It took place in the early morning hours and led to the closing of a bridge between two cities for more than an hour in both directions.

According to police, the head-on crash occurred at about 5 a.m. At least two individuals suffered injuries in the collision. Two drivers were taken to a medical center via a medical helicopter.

Police reported that two cars were involved in this crash, which occurred on the Highway 11 Bridge between Slidell and New Orleans. Both of the drivers suffering moderate injuries. They said the accident took place when the vehicle going north went over into the lane going south. Police concluded their investigation at the scene and had planned to follow up their investigation at the medical center.

The driver of the northbound vehicle that breached the middle line and reportedly caused the accident may face civil claims for the personal injuries suffered in the crash. The other injured driver has the right to file a personal injury claim against the allegedly at-fault driver, seeking the reimbursement of damages sustained in the Louisiana car accident. An award of monetary damages, based on a showing of negligence, may help the injured victim to cover his or her medical bills, any loss of wages and other accident-related expenses. Liability must be established by appropriate evidence in civil court before claims for damages will be determined.
